VA'astu Arsitektur Studio

Perumahan Griya Mustofa No.45I - Jln. H Mustofa Rt.05 Rw.04 Kukusan - Beji . Depok . Jawa Barat

This interior design planning proposal was carried out for 2 months. Before starting the design process, we conducted a survey to the location to find out circulation patterns and understand the support space needed.

The first discussion is the receptionist. The interior of this room was chosen using marble, wood and batik stamp which was arranged to give ethnic emphasis in a limited-sized room. at the reception desk a section is allocated for displaying published research books.

Continue to the research room. The highest number of staff is junior researchers. In the research room, bookshelves were prepared for books used as reference materials for their research. The facilities that distinguish it from senior research spaces are the presence of a relaxing corner. Facilities that are both in the junior and senior research room are stationery cabinets, photocopiers, printers and dispencers. All are concentrated on one side only in the whole space of senior and junior researchers.

Especially for coffee machines, placed adjacent to the mushollah area. The position of the mushollah room is almost in the middle of the entire room.

Continue the large meeting room. This room has three functions, namely a meeting room, a press conference room with reporters, and a seminar room. Total capacity is 50 people. In the front area of the meeting room, the floor is raised for a small stage room. Because of the limited size of the room, the meeting table uses glass with stainless steel frame. This is to give the impression of a larger room. The projector's machine is placed hanging on the ceiling with a range of cables to the meeting table.

“Rumah Tropis Modern” Story.

Dear readers, we will review the work of VAastu Architecture Studio in 2017 called "Modern Tropical Houses". The plan is the location of this house in one of the GDC (Grand Depok City) clusters in Depok. The architectural and interior design planning process runs for five months until the final.

The land area is approximately 120 m² with a building area of approximately 200 m². The area of the building is already with carport. The plan is that the old leveled building will be built new with the theme of modern tropical design.

The concept of a house is not fenced. The owner has the desire to have a mailbox located in the front garden of the house. This mailbox ornament is characteristic of the position of the house in addition to the number markings and letters of the number numbers and house blocks.

Because the width of the land is 6m, we propose the design concept on the first floor with a bulkhead-free system to avoid the impression of the carriage. The system without insulation provides the illusion of a larger room size. The second way, we apply the net height of the ceiling to the floor is 3.5m. Another bonus that is gained from the height of the ceiling is to make the air inside the house cooler. We do not use void or roof systems continuously until the second floor due to the density of space requirements so that almost all of the space is used.

The kitchen interior on the first floor is open design and blends with a large dining room. This facilitates the hobby of the wife of the owner who loves cooking especially baking cakes. So that if there are guests, the owner's wife can directly entertain and joke together with her hobby of cooking.

The interior concept on the second floor is focused on guest rooms and open theater homes. Watching is a hobby of the owner, so to accommodate it we put the room on the second floor.

On the second floor, we designed a closed balcony according to the request of the owner's wife. The owner wants the chilli room to enjoy the view out but it is still tightly closed. So we made large window openings to accommodate the owner's request in the balcony room. Besides that the balcony was designed to be able to be a space for home theater extension when the owner held a watching event together with a big family.

For home façade color selection, we use monochrome colors combined with the use of natural stone and hanging plant games to soften the building's sturdy facade.

At the Interior we choose warm colors from the monochrome group to give an intimate, clean and cozy impression. In this house there is not much detail because it prioritizes the function of each room.

“Rumah Pojok” Story

Dear readers, we will review one of VAastu Architecture Studio's works in 2017. We give the name "Rumah Pojok" because the position of the house is in the corner. This house is located in one of the GDC (Grand Depok City) clusters in Depok.

The design process starts 5 months earlier than the date the house is handed over by the developer. After the handover with the developer is complete, then proceed to the renovation stage carried out by the client. The renovation is done to add and complete facilities that have not been provided in the house by the developer.

The construction process starts from October 2017 and is completed in July 2018. The duration of construction, interior and furniture construction takes nine months with a full month of Eid holidays.

For front-facing processing, we follow the design of the developer. We have developed this design towards modern tropical. Our tropical elements strengthen from the front garden and the garden in the house.

Our entrance is divided into two accents. The main entrance with a red door color is used as one access with the car garage and the service door is accessed from the motorcycle garage. Because the building does not use a fence, the park becomes the main viewpoint of the view. The park is positioned as the second separator of access. In addition, the garden in front of the house gives a beautiful and shady impression.

In interior design we combine Scandinavian with ethnicity. Ethnicity can be obtained from brass batik stamp collections and traditional cloth collections client. For modern, we can get from old client furniture. All combined into one that creates a unique impression. Our clients have a hobby of collecting brass batik stamps and we assemble them in large frames and make them points off view in the living room. This is our first experience combining elements of culture with modern furniture and once Scandinavian. A blend of traditional and modern creates a unique impression on the interior of the living room. It was a surprise to us that the batik stamp could be very nicely matched with Scandinavian and modern furniture.

Interior design of the child's room is more emphasis on function. This action is to give their freedom to create in their room according to their style and age and in the future. Special designs only on the client's first daughter's room. Because the room size is very limited so we really think of all the ways for all needs to be met. The solution that is obtained is to put the bed above with access to the stairs and at the bottom it functions as a wardrobe and lounge. This bedroom design is unique and appropriate by applying the solution.

The main bedroom, we choose white furniture and solid wood parquet flooring. Solid wood flooring is a client's special request. The combination of all these elements makes the main bedroom cooler. Because furniture is modern, to soften it, we apply the Parisian doors on the balcony. In the interior bedroom accessories, two traditional fabrics of the client collection were chosen, namely songket fabric and NTT weaving. Both of these traditional fabrics blend nicely with modern furniture and give a little eclectic impression in the interior.

Story of the main bedroom bed. It was an old client's rejuvenated bed. We simplify the design and repaint everything with white ducco. The reason we maintain is because the bed is a nostalgic memory of the client.

The study room is on the prayer room circulation road and the master bedroom. This study room is small. We decided to design a special study table with material from transparent glass and make large window openings. This method is to give the illusion of a wider room. Large glass windows insert views of the exterior into the room by providing a transparent barrier. And the glass study table gives the impression of a room that remains spacious without cutting the width of the table.

Dear readers, let's review one of the works of VAastu Architecture Studio in 2017. We named it "Rumah Taman".

The plan at the beginning of the renovation is to add the first floor living room to the expansion of the old living room and family room. Then it developed to add a children's room on the second floor. The position of the new children's room is above the new guest room. The position of the old children's room on the second floor changed its function to a study room and connecting circulation between the child's room and the parent's room.

For the front view of the house, the design style is harmonized with the old house to impress the house without renovation or additional size. By aligning the appearance of the house, it creates harmony between the old and new buildings and the surrounding environment.

The front pergola is maintained and makes a major accent on the facade of the house. we added the lee kwan yu plant on the right side of the pergola to add a soft impression to the facade and reduce the strong geometry. This can be a tip for the reader, when your home facade feels too stiff, then add plant elements to the front garden. These tips are very effective and another bonus is to give a fresh and beautiful impression.

For arrangement the back garden plant is not changed because it is good. The rear garden also acts as a view of the living room on the first floor and the children's bedroom on the second floor. In this house the living room has two views, namely the front garden view and the back garden view. This method managed to give the impression of a living room wider than its original size.

In this project we learn to implement "sustainable design". Think more to use items that are not used then use them again into design and construction with new functions. By implementing "sustainable design" it can cut the cost of renovation. So that the extra costs are allocated to repair other parts of the house. This can be a tip for readers who plan home renovations with limited costs. Make a list of which items will be used again. Give the list to the architect, contractor or foreman that you appoint, so that when execution, the items in the list will be carefully dismantled and the placement will be adjusted according to what has been determined by your architect.

Dear readers, here is the work of VAástu Architecture Studio in the first three months of 2017. Let's start telling about Interior Design of this guest room - the apartment.

This guest bedroom interior design project is located in one condominium unit area sudirman, South Jakarta. The total living area of the guest bedroom is 18 m².

In the design, the team carrying the theme Modern Interior with wood finishing motif. Establish a design based on the client refrence photo given at the beginning of the discussion. Surely there must be slight modifications. We modify the selected colors into unisex colors (can be for male and female rooms) and size adjustments so that the shape and atmosphere of the room from refrensi images can still be obtained.

Then we continue the design of TV table and desk study. TV tables use old furniture so we just adjust. To combine the TV table and Headrboard then the study table has a mixture of materials both furniture. This is one simple way to combine old furniture with new furniture. The size of the study table to taste with simple form. The position of the study desk facing the window to give the impression broadly so that small impression breaks.

Selection of wall and ceiling blend colors still use the color of the room so that is customized is the color for the headboard. In the headboard there is no table lamp so that our sleeping lights apply to the headboard by using the type of led light in accordance with the request from the client.

In this article we include refrensi image from client so readers can see progress until final design. Hopefully this article will inspire readers who are looking for inspiration for the interior of his bedroom.

The project site is located in the satellite city of Jakarta. Precisely located in one of the residential area in West Bekasi, West Java. The typology of residential is divided by several housing land lots, usually designed in rows that each is separated by the street. The house has two entrances. The first entrance of the road inside the housing and the other entrance is located on the main road outside the housing. Due to the housing management prohibits any deformities facade of the building and is written in a memorandum of understanding with the client so that our clients focus on renovations to increase the functionality and space in home interior.

This project is a renovation project of an existing house on 8x20 meters land owner by a family of five. This house has two floors, the ground floor space is maximized for the public and semi-public, and the second floor is used for private functions. To the second floor there is a master bedroom and children's bedroom that is very personal so we can not   expose in this article in accordance with the client's request.

On the ground floor, we are managing the family room and dining room in the same room in which the two function rooms separated by a console table. Because of the small size of the dining room, we apply the one side by a wall with a mirror so as to provide the illusion of size larger than the actual space. We give a big door sliding opening to chance to breathe a bit more by leaving a huge living room.

To park in the middle of the house, we replace the access door with large glass doors with sliding system. This aims to give the impression of fused between outer space and the space inside so impressive a wider space. In addition, the sliding glass door produces a smooth air circulation and healthy. To muffle the heat outside, the garden center is assigned a fish pond with water games so that the hot air from the outside entrance will be through an advance thus decreasing temperature. This makes the indoor air becomes cooler even without air conditioner.

The kitchen has a small area. To give the impression of vast, we apply the monochrome colors that contrasted with pale colors that give the impression toska unique. Distance to the cabinet top is not made too high to facilitate clients when opening and closing in accordance with the range of his height. We chose the kitchen work table using dark colored granite stone so that it always looks clean. The entire size of the area in order to the maximum so as to provide functionality and large storage. Material table using glass and steel bar so as to give the impression of light and looks not reduce the size of the kitchen.

Guest room and foyer is designed with a simple composition but comfortable arrangement. We combine the sofa and armchair with classic modern design with modern furniture to wooden coffee table and exposes fiinishing melamik with ethnic designs on the side table so as to provide a unique and harmonious ambience is far from boring.

Overall, the interior design of the house managed to represent the character of the owner through the material composition, the composition of the monochrome colors, and a blend of outer space and in giving the impression of semi-public and public spaces become larger than actual size.
